So the Karva Chauth is made up of 2 precious words:

Karva and Chauth.

• Karva means earthen pot.
• Chauth means fourth tithi as per Hindu calendar.

So it’s celebrated on the fourth tithi of Krishna Paksh in the Kartika Mas.

(In the month of Kartika, a month in the Hindu Calendar.)

It falls in the month of October to November, depending on the 4th day of the Lunar Moon.

(Astronomy of stars and planets) as per the Christian Calendar.

So, this festival is celebrated by married women.

Unmarried girls have different levels of faith in it.

And they also celebrate it in the hope of a good future life partner.
